AutoMeta for AdobeStock ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension handles your data. We believe in complete transparency and a "data-minimalist" approach.
Summary: We do not collect, sell, or store your personal data on our servers. Your API keys and settings are stored locally on your device. Image analysis happens directly between your browser and the Google Gemini API using your own credentials.
1. Data Collection and Usage
The Extension operates on a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) architecture. This means:
- No Server-Side Collection: We (the developers) do not own or operate a backend server to collect your data. We do not track your browsing history, IP address, or personal information.
- Image Processing: When you use the "Generate Metadata" feature, the Extension sends the image thumbnail directly from your browser to the Google Gemini API. This data transmission is encrypted and occurs strictly between your device and Google. We never see or intercept this data.
2. Local Storage & Permissions
The Extension uses the Chrome Storage API (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local) for the following purposes only:
- API Keys: Your Google Gemini API keys are saved locally in your browser so you don't have to re-enter them. They are never transmitted to us.
- User Preferences: We store your settings (e.g., Title Length, Keyword Count, Temperature) to improve your user experience.
- Host Permissions: We require access to
contributor.stock.adobe.comto interact with the webpage (fill forms) andgenerativelanguage.googleapis.comto communicate with the AI service.
3. Third-Party Services
The Extension acts as a bridge between your browser and third-party services. Please review their privacy policies:
- Google Gemini API: The Extension uses Google's AI to analyze images. Data sent to the API is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Adobe Stock: The Extension functions on the Adobe Stock Contributor portal. Your usage of that platform is governed by Adobe's policies.
4. Data Security
Because we do not collect your data, there is no database for us to secure. Your API keys are stored within your own browser's secure storage environment. We recommend that you keep your browser updated and do not share your API keys with others.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
